Delaine Derry Green has enjoyed a lifelong love of art & design. Starting with art lessons at age five, excelling at AP Art in high school, and making the Dean’s List at Auburn University, she continues to exercise her artistic drive today. Her current mixed media work is inspired by fashion of the 40s-70s and utilizes vintage sewing patterns, buttons, and acrylic paint on glass. She makes a yearly appearance at Artwalk, one of Birmingham’s annual visual arts festivals. In 2009 & 2011 she was named one of the top 25 artists at Artwalk (out of 135+ artists). Her pieces appear in collections coast to coast, including that of an art museum curator and an author in NYC. In 2016 Delaine won first place in an art installation contest in Birmingham.
