My First Window Display

Naked Art Gallery asked me to do a window display for one of their main windows. I’ve never done one before but didn’t hesitate to try. I created a 3-piece city skyline and clouds out of wood & paint. I added a few items from the gallery and a couple items from home (lamp, travel case, hat, wig) and voila, a window was born!

Not My Small Diary 17 is here!

The latest, greatest issue of NMSD has arrived. The theme is true High School comics & stories. Inside you’ll find 55 different artists and writers sharing their deep, dark and fabulous teenage stories. Every book comes with a special NMSD pencil! Have someone sign your crack and stock up on meds for senioritis! Click the image below for a link to my etsy store…. you need this!

Artwalk brush with celebrity

I just wrapped up another successful Artwalk in downtown Birmingham. I had a special customer this time – original MTV VJ Alan Hunter who lives in town. He picked out a piece of art for his daughter. He was being followed by a cameraman filming Alan & family for a possible reality show!

Romance is Looming!

I hope everyone is having a great 2012 so far. We celebrated Lee’s 40th birthday with a Saturday Night Live theme party. Britain the puppy is growing so fast we’re worried about Clifford-syndrome. I’ve been doing art for the gallery’s Valentine Show. A particularly romantic piece of art is shown below. xoxo!

Hope for the Future!

I recently did the graphic design for a traveling Bob Hope exhibition. Now it’s going to be on display in London during the Olympics! It opens July 13, 2012 to the public and runs through Oct 28 at the Greenwich Heritage Center in South London… and it’s free!

I’m Beside Myself

I was recently one of the featured artists in the Self Portrait show at Naked Art Gallery. My piece was featured on the marketing materials. To my surprise the gallery owner put prices on each self portrait. My best friend Bobby ended up buying mine without me knowing it!

Autobio Rules!

I have a new comic in the upcoming ‘Kindlin’ Quarterly’ #7. This issue has an autobiographical theme (my favorite!). I’ll be in good company with other NMSD artists Chad Woody, Edward Bolman, Dave Kiersh and M Young along with many other artists.
